Everything leadership. Everything administration. Everything development.

Routes to belonging

Professional standing matched to experience and contribution.

CILMMD’s public materials identify four direct membership cadres. Final eligibility should always be confirmed against the Institute’s current written criteria.

Direct membership

Member and Fellow.

Both routes should consider the relevance of experience, the level of responsibility carried and evidence of professional contribution—not job title alone.

Member

For practitioners building a credible record in leadership, administration, human-capital or management development.

Fellow

For established professionals whose senior responsibility, practice and contribution demonstrate sustained standing.

Advanced recognition

Doctoral Fellow and Distinguished Fellow.

Doctoral Fellow

An advanced professional fellowship cadre. Applicants should obtain written clarification of its criteria and status before using the designation.

Distinguished Fellow

Reserved for exceptional, sustained contribution to leadership, development, enterprise, public service or society.

A professional fellowship title is not automatically an earned university doctorate. Members must represent the designation exactly as the Institute defines it.

Recognition route

Honorary recognition should remain selective and transparent.

Where the Institute recognises public contribution outside direct application, the basis, approving authority and correct post-nominal or title should be recorded clearly.

Recipients should understand both what the recognition represents and what it does not represent.
